The TUM Career Service sees itself as a link between students, alumni and potential employers and offers support in terns of applications, career entry and career planning.
Under the motto "Career Service goes Campus", the TUM Career Service offers fixed counselling dates at all sites. Students, graduates, doctorate graduates, alumni and international students can attend the target-group specific sessions on various days. These counselling sessions take place several times a week and range from simply checking application papers, helping to make decisions through to classic career advice and planning.
TUM Career Manual
The TUM application brochure offers applicants a wealth of advice and information about choosing jobs, starting careers, domestic and foreign applications, interview etc. TUM students and alumni can lend the brochure from all TUM libraries or pick one up from the Career Service as long as stocks last.
TUM Career Week
The Career Service organises the TUM Career Week once in the winter and summer semester respectively. The week includes a broad programme of subjects to do with job applications, starting careers and work in general, as well as offering the opportunity to forge contacts to interesting companies during workshops and interviews.
TUM job and work placement board
The TUM job and work placement board offers a large number of job vacancies. Besides suitable work placements, works student jobs and dissertations, permanent employment opportunities and trainee programmes etc. are also listed.
The "Reference list for applications on own initiative" provides detailed company profiles of businesses that are continously interested in new staff.
Time for career – event calendar
A number of specific central or faculty career events take place at the TUM. Every semester the TUM Career Service bundles these for the students and publishes the events calendar "Time for career" which is available as a brochure online.
