Application process

The bachelor’s programme has no access limitations. Applicants with a valid University Entrance Qualification receive an admission. Their qualification for further studies in Environmental Engineering is verified in the first two semesters through the Fundamentals Examinations (GOP).

The application is done online on the TUMonline portal. After completing the online process, the application form must be printed out, signed and sent along with the required official documents to the enrolment office of TUM. The signed form must arrive at TUM before the expiration of the application deadline. After sending your documents per post, please log in to your TUMonline applicant account if you need information about your application status, missing or incomplete documents. If questions concerning the whereabouts or the status of your documents arise, please contact directly the Student Service Centre (SSZ) by sending an e-Mail to study@tum.de.

If single documents are not available prior to the application deadline they can be handed in the latest five weeks after lectures begin. Please note that an enrolment is only possible if all documents are handed in on time.

As soon as the signed application is checked OK, applicants receive an admission notification per E-Mail. After a successful admission, applicants must log in to their TUMonline account, accept the study place and take care of the remaining modalities for the enrolment:

  • Pay the tuition fees
  • If necessary hand in pending documents
  • Collect their student card at the SSZ
