The time span between the admission and the beginning of lectures is often filled with organisation and administration. However, there is some support from TUM and the students.
For Bachelor beginners pre-courses in mathematics are available in the two last weeks before lectures begin. There you can re-fresh school mathematics and adopt to the knowledge level requested in the following semesters. Attending is of course voluntary. Information on dates and registration procedures is available on the website of the Department for Mathematics.
We warmly recommend to undertake a large part of the compulsory internship before the beginning of your studies. The semester breaks are better used for exam preparation, exams and perhaps some vacations. You can find information to the internship here.
On the first day of lectures a detailed introduction event and many different activities for first-years are being organised by the student's union. All students enrolled in the first semester receive an invitation per e-mail. Student's Union More useful information for beginners is available on the website of the Student's Union for Civil, Geo and Environmental Engineering
