*Simulation-based methods for estimation of groundwater flow parameters.
*Aquifer parameters governing groundwater flow are highly heterogeneous and uncertain.
*The groundwater flow equation is highly nonlinear, and in addition, the processing of large amounts of data from hydraulic head, flux and geophysical measurements entails large computational effort for solving the parameter estimation problem.
*Develop methods for measurement data compression without loss of important information.
*Apply simulation-based methods to avoid linearization approach.
