High-level Indonesian delegation visits Munich

A delegation consisting of 13 members of the national house of representatives (the national parliament) and 10 senior staff members from the national land agency in Indonesia (in Indonesian: Badan Pertanahan Nasional – BPN) visited Munich and the Chair of Land Management from 14 till 16 July 2019.


The delegation headed by the vice-Chair of Commission II in the house of representatives, which deals with the reform of the land law, and the Secretary General of BPN head office in Jakarta. During the visit an introduction was given to TUM by Tatjana Boos, vice Director of the TUM International Office, whilst Prof. de Vries gave an overview of both the educational and research activities of the Chair, and the institutional arrangements regarding land matters in Germany. Furthermore, the Chair organised visits to the Ampertal Integrated Land Development project, and a visit to the Amt für Ländliche Entwicklung of Oberbayern. Discussions were held how the Chair could be involved in supporting the development of the new land law in Indonesia, and how further education and research for Indonesia could be organised.
