Part A: Introduction to traffic psychology and overview of ergonomic research and ist basics issues Part B: The concepts of workload situational awareness with special emphasis on the problem of automation Part C: The driver / operator: characteristics, driver's state and performance (e.g. impaiment, drowsiness) Part D: Human factors in road construction Intenion/aim of the course: Introducing the body of social scientific literature on mobility, transport and travel. Understanding travel behaviour and the cultural backgrounds of everyday mobility. Problematising the complex interactions between humans and technologies in contemporary transport and traffic.
