Tanja Schröder joins the TUM Landslide Research Group as a PhD candidate

Tanja Schröder joins the TUM Landslide Research group to begin a PhD research project of rock-ice mechanical variations in thawing permafrost rocks. The Elite Network of Bavaria (Elitenetzwerk Bayern), an initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts has approved funding for our PhD student. Tanja’s project is expected to combine laboratory rock-ice-mechanical testing with geophysical monitoring at the Zugspitze summit, providing a better rock-ice-mechanical process understanding concerning rock-slope failures in Alpine regions.
