Verena Stammberger joins the TUM Landslide Research Group as a PhD candidate

Verena Stammberger joined the TUM Landslide Research Group as a PhD student working on debris flows. She completed her BSc and MSc in Environmental Engineering at the TUM. For her Master’s Thesis “Debris Flow Potential in the Alps: Monitoring and Modelling at the Roßbichelgraben (Oberstdorf, D) and Wildenbach (Hinterhornbach, A)” she received the Johannes B. Ortner Prize for young academics.
Her research interest as a PhD student focuses on the erodibility of debris flows in bedrock and loose debris and on improving the current status of debris flow modelling. The German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) has approved funding for her research.
